DPT Students Represent Well at National Student Conclave
Doctor of Physical Therapy students Megan Sims and Hector Mallar represented Georgia State’s physical therapy students at the American Physical Therapy Association’s National Student Conclave held during PT month. This APTA conference is the only one of its kind designed specifically for PT students and attended by students nationwide.
Sims says the conference highlight was a unique service project in which students built prosthetic hands for amputees, injured by landmines, living in developing countries.
“Getting to work together towards a common goal alongside a group of PT students from Rhode Island and Kansas was an unforgettable experience,” Sims said.
